A gap in imported packaging for recycling

Home/Uncategorized/A gap in imported packaging for recycling

We have just enjoyed one of the mildest winters on record, which is great news for the central heating bills, but not so good if you are waiting for imports of produce from abroad.

While there are beautiful cauliflowers being cut in the UK, there is no need to buy from abroad. So no imported produce means no imported packaging for recycling. All of which means that this year there will be far fewer wooden boxes available for our traditional customers.

The good news is that we have sourced a supply of really good quality cardboard boxes which might just fill the gap and enable us to continue to support customers who wish to be environmentally and financially efficient in using recycled packaging.
